Sometimes people work because of that it is a liability, if something such as fire or theft would the artwork be covered. We offer 2-to-3-page insurance appraisals so that you can take the paperwork to an insurance agent and purchase insurance, so that you know that you are covered. Or maybe you just want the paperwork to accompany the piece.
Please keep in mind the insurance appraisal value is usually slightly higher than what you think the value should be or what similar auction results are because if something happens to the work you are supposed to be able to be able to find and purchase a similar piece to what you owned. Often because artwork is one of a kind, that’s not possible but a similar size by the same artist might be possible.
